New Web Forum for Worried Parents and Teachers

TORONTO – June 3, 2009

The Society for Quality Education has launched a new blog called School for Thought , which will offer timely information, facts and informed commentary on issues associated with education.

“We have had lots of requests to post a blog on our site,” says Doretta Wilson, executive director of the SQE, “so we thought we would respond to the demand.”

Wilson says the primary focus of School for Thought will be to offer helpful information for parents and teachers on how to improve student learning.

“Our goal will be to make our entries interesting and informative, and to provide a forum for networking among parents and teachers,” says Wilson.

On top of helpful information about good teaching methods and materials, the SQE blog will publish breaking education news.

“Exciting, quirky, thought-provoking - everything will be grist for our mill,” says Wilson.

The Society for Quality Education is dedicated to the significant improvement of student learning in Canada. We invite journalists to visit our newly-refurbished web-site at www.societyforqualityeducation.org .
