Vote for Stairway to Reading

November 03, 2009 by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) at 12:58 PM

We just submitted an idea for Stairway to Reading, our free remedial reading program, to the Aviva Community Fund, a competition that could result in positive change for struggling readers. If our idea receives enough votes, it will have a chance at sharing in $500,000 to bring our idea to life. I would really appreciate your help in pushing our idea to the finals. Please feel free to forward this to all and sundry!

Please vote for our idea at http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf3006.

Thanks!

Put a reminder in ‘School for Thought’ every day, Doretta.  You may get enough votes; also please keep urging evryone to send the site to friends so that they can logue in and vote on SQE’s behalf as well.  (Bear with me folks, my job was doing countless promos.  Most effective method was hard work!)
I wish I could have voted twice.  At a glance, the skilled trade one looked good as well, but firstly, kids need to learn to read!
Did you notice that the most votes went for the solar panels?  Probably the school telling the kids and parents to vote on their behalf.
Dollars for ‘Stairway to Reading’ is by far the most worthy cause, so again let’s send this around to others…

Great idea Bev. I also want to remind readers that they can vote daily—so vote early and often!
